The British Are Coming! 80th Anniversary Gala Nov. 13th, 2021

Did you know Mesa’s Falcon Field began as a World War II training base for British pilots from 1941-1945? This year marks the 80th anniversary of the No.4 British Flying Training School and Falcon Field Airport. To celebrate this event, Wings of Flight Foundation, a non-profit, is hosting a series of events culminating with an 80th Anniversary Gala Nov. 13th, 2021 to be held in the World War II hangar at Falcon Field, Mesa, AZ.

Our guests of honor will be the British pilots and families, their US Army instructors and the many ground personnel that supported Falcon Field from 1941-1945. Mesa families were an important part of the success of Falcon Field in WWII just as they are a part of its success now.

Let’s welcome these veterans and their families back to the hangars and the airport where it all began 80 years ago. We will be sharing our Mesa hospitality with a reception, dinner and an evening of entertainment, while surrounded by vintage aircraft in the original 1941 hangar and a new, permanent exhibit of the rich history of Falcon Field.

We welcome your support and sponsorship in this international show of friendship between Mesa, AZ and Great Britain.

This is the best time of year to visit as the temperatures are in the 70’s (21-26C)

and the skies are sunny.
