We are back in business! Check out our new lid! The City of Mesa and Falcon Field knocked this one out of the park. Less than 9 months post apocalyptic Haboob and we have an amazing new roof “system” .We gotta agree, it’s cooler in here ! We can’t Thank the City of Mesa enough and all the contractors who worked tirelessly throughout the last 9 months for getting this amazing piece of Mesa history back under a roof .
Cheers from all of us at the Wings Of Flight Foundation !!
On September 12, 2023, a storm damaged our hangar. Portions of the roof blew off, and the main doors were pushed off their fittings into the hangar. Two airplanes, electrical and fire suppression systems, lighting and audio systems, and just about all the displays were damaged.
Thanks to the City of Mesa and various contractors, we expect the facility to be habitable on or about April 1, 2024. We will still need to do a lot of work to restore damaged planes, displays, and systems, but we will be back in operation soon. Thank you to everyone for your support while we return to normal operations.

Before the USA entered WWII, a group of investors and Hollywood actors built several pilot training schools in the Phoenix area to help the Allied war effort. The No.4 British Flying Training School became Falcon Field. Come see the hangar and the planes they flew. Help us keep these planes in the air and telling their stories.
